STATRON Malaysia is privileged to announce that the electricity provider “Energy Australia” chose STATRON BDTe series battery chargers for the replacement of their existing thyristor controlled chargers at Mt. Piper Power Station, near Lithgow in the state of New South Wales.
STATRON succeeded in winning this project in partnership with Lion Batteries.
Constructed in 1992/1993, Mt. Piper Power Station’s twin steam turbines have a combined output of 1400MW, which is sufficient capacity to supply the needs of approximately 1.2 million homes in New South Wales, Australia.
STATRON’s thyristor-controlled BDTe series is an extremely reliable and well-proven battery charger with many successful installations throughout the world. This charger was taken as a basis for the applications of Energy Australia and with additional customisation efforts, it was designed to meet the specifications of Energy Australia in the range of 24 V to 220 V and 100 A to 1’200 A.
STATRON would like to once again extend our sincere gratitude and appreciation towards Energy Australia for placing their trust and confidence in both STATRON and Lion Batteries for this first replacement project.
