The challenge of this order is the rough climate in this area. Stadler has won its second train project in Canada already and Stadler has been successfully with the support by Statron’s battery systems.

The Ni-Cd battery systems were especially developed by Statron with the support of Saft, a well-known battery manufacturer. Special for this project is the high demand of low temperatures, which can go down to minus 40 °C. Statron was selected as partner for the delivery of battery systems as it has a high degree of experience and knowledge in the design of such battery systems.
